| Dedicated to the revolution
of equitable participation of all indigenes of Imo State in
the creation of
a vital society, Chief Uwandu has embarked on a gubernatorial
quest, which begins with a listening and exchange tour with
every segment of the population. The dialogue will also involve
government
officials, economists, and representatives of international
organizations, NGO's and research institutes. Through direct
assessments of
the needs of our people, from grassroots to the mainstream,
an alliance of government and the governed based on the idealism
of “People First” will be harnessed
to affirm hope, inspire integrity, and build trust in a transparent
process that
enables citizens to actualize their potentials as stakeholders
in Imo State affairs. |

Staying Connected to Imo Roots
“Maintaining our origin means staying true to the task
regardless of the station.” – Sam Uwandu Out
of Imo state, Chief Uwandu never left the state of Imo affairs.
He was the first Financial
Secretary of the Mbano People’s Association
(1988-1992) and also served as the
General Secretary (1992-1998). In 1998, he was
among a concerned group of Imo state citizens
who convened to initiate a forum with the underlying
objective of providing support to the Governor
of the State, regardless of zones. |
